The Driving Line – Volume 1

Interview with Syamsul Razmin – Founder of Initial Karting Competizione (IKC)

Straight off the back of our new partnership with fellow race series organiser, Syamsul Razmin, we decided to find out more about the man himself as well as his thoughts on the IKC and amateur karting. SK: IKC is into it’s 6th edition this year. Could you share what made you start this race series? SR:I started IKC along with two other friends, Zul and Toge. Race Review: SingaporeKarts Enduro Challenge 2017 – Round 2

Round 2 of the SingaporeKarts Enduro Challenge 2017 ran on the 14th of May at Plentong Karting Circuit, Johor Bahru. 8 teams comprising a total of 30 drivers participated in the 3 hour endurance event, 6 teams from Malaysia and 2 teams from Singapore. For Round 2, the track layout was modified at turn 6 to offer much higher speeds to the competitors as compared to Round 1. In an effort to improve kart equality, all the karts were tested and timed by our resident test driver to ensure all karts are as close as possible in their performance. A new kart selection process was also implemented where the team leaders would draw lots to determine the order in which they are able to select their team’s kart.
